Lotus, the symbol of purity and strength.

This photo was taken in somewhere in China when my friends and I traveled to an ancient city China years ago When I stopped by a lotus pond, my attention was drawn by this beautiful lotus flower. A few months ago, I put this photo in the photo library on my iPad, since then, my iPad selects it as the photo of the year again and again. Thai is why I decide to share with you this photo although it is not my drawing. Lotus is rare in America, what we can usually see in the country side is the lilies pond. Lotus rise up from the mud, it’s flower and leaves grow a few inches above the water whereas water lilies sit on the water. Lotus are viewed as a symbol of purity, strength and rebirth.
